Edwards is seeking a senior finance professional to lead cost center reporting, planning, and compliance in support of our THV business unit. The role emphasizes complex analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering strategic financial leadership across departments.

The candidate will manage month-end close, drive budgeting and forecasting, and partner with executives to optimize profitability while ensuring regulatory compliance and internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
  • Eight years of related experience, or six years with a Master's.

Responsibilities

  • Month-End Close and Reporting – manage cost center finances, journal entries, and reports.
  • Planning and Analysis – advise cost center managers, budgets, variance analysis, and forecasting.
  • Compliance – ensure SOX, GAAP, and regulatory compliance for internal/external audits.
  • Special Projects – develop trend analyses and analyses on gross profit, sales operations, and contract management.
  • Strategy/KOD Execution – partner with leaders to define and drive strategy execution.
  • Other incidental duties as needed.

How you’ll make an impact:
  • Month-End Close and Reporting – Manage cost center finances including journal entries, review of financial measures, providing guidance and advice on more complex issues regarding cost center performance, and developing BU specific reports (e.g., commission support, customer rebates, competitive analyses)
  • Planning and Analysis – Advise Cost Center managers to generate complex solutions to obtaining necessary resources within budgetary constraints, including identifying opportunities and mitigating risks (e.g., cost center planning, revenue planning, reporting with increasing responsibilities. Assess complex report data (e.g., month-end matrix report, quarter-end year-over-year sequence reporting, headcount reporting, trend analysis, planned and forecast variance analysis) to identify opportunities for course correction/course alignment, including writing justification for variances
  • Compliance – Ensure Edwards compliance by applying knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP financials, SEC, IRS) to develop complex explanations for internal and external auditors
  • Special Projects – Varying duties by business unit, e.g., developing trend analysis and mix analysis on gross profit, sales operations, clinical contract management
  • Strategy/KOD Execution – Partner with functional leaders to define and drive KOD and strategy execution
  • Other incidental duties
What you'll need (Required):
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • A minimum of eight years previous related experience (OR six years with a Masters)

  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related financial systems
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills

  • Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
  • Extensive understanding of multi-relational impact if the Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow Statement and how journal entries affect each statement
  • Extensive understanding of related aspects of financial processes and/or systems
  • Understanding of major products and keys to success of the business (acumen)
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively elevate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to represent leadership on sections of projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and finance team
  • Ability to consult in project setting within specific sections of financial area
  • Ability to provide financial leadership to outsourcing partners on a task level

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $105,000 to $148,000 (highly experienced).
