Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance team responsible for budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and management reporting. The role sits within the Financial Strategy and Operations function and supports accounting policies and controls across the department.

The position requires 3–5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination) and strong leadership with advanced MS Office skills. CBRE offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience; in lieu of a degree, combination of experience and education considered.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team and impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Intermediate math skills; ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and financial calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Oversee the budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and standard management reporting.
  • Review balance sheet account analysis, cash flows, and supporting schedules, and standard consolidated reporting packs for accuracy.
  • Review and approve basic monthly journal entries.
  • Produce routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages, and pro forma analyses for senior management.
  • Coordinate research, development, and preparation of accounting policy and procedures.
  • Exchange and explain difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues.
  • Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values; cooperate with others to reach objectives.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and integration with others to achieve team objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.

This job is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function. They are responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.

What You’ll Do

The minimum salary for the [Finance Manager] position is $120,000.00 annually and the maximum salary for the [Finance Manager] position is $140,000.00 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
