Job summary

Wimmer Solutions is seeking a Finance Manager to lead US Accounting & Treasury, overseeing US G2N revenue accounting and month-end close, with responsibility for IFRS compliance and process improvements.

The role requires CPA/CA, 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, and strong Oracle/Excel skills. You will manage 2–4 direct reports and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Strong ERP experience, specifically Oracle, and advanced Excel skills.
• CPA or CA certification is required or strongly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
• G2N revenue accounting experience is preferred, ideally in pharma.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes in line with IFRS and GAM calendars and close schedules.
• Deliver timely US entity financial reporting with reconciliations, memos, and detailed close documentation.
• Serve as revenue recognition technical accounting lead for the US team; perform IFRS research and memo writing.
• Coordinate with BU finance to document key estimates and judgments per IFRS with quarterly revenue recognition assessments.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase team efficiency and shift focus to analysis.
• Contribute to Analytical Review, documenting Balance Sheet movements and unusual items.
• Support global/local finance projects, ERP enhancements, and accounting policy implementations affecting the US.
• Lead a team of 2–4 direct reports and foster accountability and development.

Job description

The Finance Manager position is a leadership role within the US Accounting & Treasury team. This individual will be principally responsible for overseeing G2N accounting for the US, including recurring month-end close activities and supporting related continuous improvement projects. Secondarily, this individual will manage the month-end close for the Alastin legal entity.

Responsibilities

• Manage execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes in compliance with IFRS and GAM. Ensure activities are completed within timelines defined in the accounting calendar and close schedule.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting for US entities, including high quality documentation supporting month end close reporting package submissions, Balance Sheet account reconciliations, and manual journal entries
• Serve as revenue recognition technical accounting lead and Alastin accounting lead for the US Accounting team. Research and apply IFRS guidance, prepare accounting memos as needed, and ensure consistency with GAM and corporate policies. Perform technical accounting research for other topics on an ad hoc basis
• Coordinate with business unit finance partners to ensure key estimates and judgments are clearly documented in accordance with IFRS, including completion of quarterly assessments for projected revenue recognition accruals and corresponding lookback analyses once actual data is available
• Identify and implement process improvement to increase team efficiency, such as by increasing desktop automation to shift mix of team’s time from data preparation to analysis and insights
• Contribute to monthly Analytical Review, documenting Balance Sheet movements and summarizing significant and unusual items
• Support global/local finance projects, ERP enhancements, and accounting policy implementations that impact the US
• Support any additional ad hoc tasks or strategic initiatives as assigned by the Head of US Accounting, including special analyses, internal reviews, or cross-functional projects that require accounting expertise and coordination
• Lead a team of 2 to 4 direct reports, fostering accountability, collaboration, and technical development within the US Accounting & Treasury team and with cross-functional colleagues
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (Masters preferred)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Minimum 8 years progressive accounting experience
• G2N revenue accounting experience, preferably in pharma industry
• Strong ERP system knowledge (Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes under pressure and tight deadlines
• Ability to lead change, drive process improvement initiatives, and propose creative solutions to complex financial and operational issues
• Experience with Global Business Services (GBS) or Shared Services operating model
