Job summary

Coral AI is hiring its first finance leader to build the in-house finance function and guide growth from seed to Series A and beyond. You will own the books today and architect the strategic finance infrastructure for tomorrow, including month-end closes, budgeting, and investor reporting.

You'll partner with founders to shape fundraising, build scalable financial models, and eventually build a finance team as the company scales in healthcare technology.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years finance experience with at least 2-3 years in US SaaS companies.
• Built a finance function at a startup (0→1 journey).
• Hands-on accounting but strategic mindset—can close books and build Board decks.
• Strong financial modelling for SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV).
• US GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition experience required.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and wearing multiple hats.

Responsibilities

• Own all accounting: PnL, BS, AP/AR, payroll, taxes, revenue ops, month-end close.
• Lead annual planning, budgeting, and strategic financial analysis.
• Manage cap table, equity compensation, and investor reporting.
• Support Series A fundraising process.
• Build financial models and forecasts as we expand into new healthcare verticals.
• Eventually hire and build your team as we scale.

The Role

You’ll be our first finance hire, establishing the entire finance organization. Right now we’re using an outsourced bookkeeper - you’ll eventually transition us to a proper in‑house finance function that can support our growth trajectory from seed to Series A and beyond.

This means being hands‑on with the books today while building the strategic finance infrastructure for tomorrow. You’ll close the month‑end one week, build commission models for new hires the next, and prep investor materials the week after.

What You’ll Do

What We Need

Must-haves:
