Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago offers an internship in Accounts Payable / Internal Reporting, focusing on hands-on experience with invoicing, journal entries, and data reporting. You will work with senior team members to meet audit requirements and analyze financial statements.

Ideal candidates are undergraduate students in IT/MIS, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Accounting, with strong Excel skills (Access a plus) and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate program; sophomore status required.
• GPA of at least 3.0 and good academic standing.
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel; Access a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn the Accounts Payable process flow and internal controls around it.
• Assist with the invoice processing system.
• Create journal vouchers to post to the general ledger.
• Assist Internal Reporting with reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Analyze data and build reports and presentations for meetings.
• Support procurement/sourcing and vendor management activities.
