Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, via McNeilus, seeks a student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field to support finance and reporting tasks.

You will assist in inventory closings, vendor statements, truck costing, and month-end processes while preparing Excel-based metrics for Lean/Six Sigma initiatives. Excellent communication and organization are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in finance processes and month-end close activities.
• Support inventory closing processes and vendor/customer statement verification.
• Help with truck costing and Lean/Six Sigma projects.
• Create Excel files and business metrics for reporting and analysis.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce non-value-added work.

SUMMARY

Supports the business through completion of various reports and analytical projects. Support operational analysis, sales & marketing analysis, or financial accounting, and helps accomplish critical tasks and implements process improvements.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to beall-inclusiveand other duties may be assigned: Assignment of tasks that support the business through finance processes. Supporting inventory closing processes. Reviewing/verifying vendor/customer statements and performing follow-up. Become familiar with truck invoicing. Assist in the process of costing trucks and preparation of month-end reporting. Assist with Fixed Asset accounting. Assist with various reports (eg. Fuel Tax) & reviewing/verifying employee expense reports. Create Excel files, business metric information, & analytical needs for Lean/Six Sigma projects. Improve processes by eliminating non-value-added work and enabling the use of technology. Other projects and assignments as agreed upon with your leader.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Student working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

Strong ability to communicate effectively. Excellent organizational skills. Basic Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word knowledge. Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $37.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
