Job summary

AXA XL offers a 10-week paid Finance internship in Exton, PA / Hartford, CT, aimed at sharpening your financial reporting and analytics skills. You’ll work with a dynamic Finance team on IFRS accounting, P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, and cross-functional projects that culminate in a senior leadership presentation.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with Excel and BI tools, collaborate with leaders and technical specialists, and be part of a welcoming team that values ideas and initiative.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in financial reporting and analysis of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet results.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis.
• Willingness to learn Power BI and other reporting tools.
• Clear communication and leadership potential.
• Authorization to work legally in the country where the internship is located.

Responsibilities

• Learn from finance professionals across underwriting.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects and present outcomes to Senior Leadership.
• Develop understanding of AXA XL’s retail insurance and reinsurance operations.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes and reporting.
• Create and maintain financial reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
• Analyze P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations and support reporting.
