Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. invites you to join our Finance summer internship, preparing you for the 3-year AFDP after graduation. You’ll work with mentors across business lines including finance, planning, and analytics to gain broad exposure.

You will support monthly and quarterly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, while helping to drive process improvements and develop impactful client presentations. This role blends hands-on work with senior leadership insights.

Qualifications

• Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in a business-related field and planning to graduate between December 2027 and June 2028
• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Have prior internship experience in financial analysis or a related area
• Have proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Be a self-starter, excited about working in an entrepreneurial, quick environment
• Be available to work in a hybrid format from the Akamai Cambridge HQ

Responsibilities

• Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reporting and in-depth customer or product analysis
• Developing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and outlooks, and resource planning analysis
• Identifying process improvement opportunities and gaining support to implement necessary improvements with the team
• Generating business presentations for senior Finance management, including a final showcase presentation
• Performing industry analyses to develop operational best practices and updating internal documentation

Our Finance summer internship program prepares you to succeed in our 3-year Associate Finance Development Program (AFDP) after graduation. Working with mentors, you'll be exposed to business line finance, commercial finance, corporate financial planning and analysis, and more.

As a Finance Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reporting and in-depth customer or product analysis
