Job summary

Applied Aerospace & Defense in Manchester is seeking a Finance Intern to support accounting and finance tasks as part of the team. You will gain exposure to ERP systems (Epicor), data review, and financial reporting in a hands-on role.

The position is part-time, suitable for a student pursuing a Finance degree, with opportunities to contribute to month-end close, journal entries, and accounts payable while learning in a real-world aerospace/defense environment.

Description

The Accounting Intern role is intended for a candidate pursuing an accounting degree. The candidate will be exposed to the following areas of accounting/finance:

• Exposure to ERP (Epicor), which acts as the system of record for financial reporting.
• Review data and consult with external and internal personnel to obtain financial information.
• Month-end closing
• Journal entries & reconciliations
• Financial reporting
• Accounts payable

May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department or to develop individuals’ skills.

Requirements

• Pursuing degree in Finance or related field, or a combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
• Willing to receive guidance and follow instructions related to financial matters and controls.
