Job summary

Leader Bank is seeking a Finance Intern to support Accounting and Treasury activities in Arlington, MA. The role provides hands-on experience with general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, regulatory reporting, treasury operations, and other finance areas in a growing bank.

You will assist with daily operations, month-end closes, reconciliations, and financial analysis while developing practical skills and gaining understanding of banking finance.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Interest in accounting, finance, banking, or financial services.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications preferred.
• Prior accounting or banking experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, account monitoring and balancing, and research as needed.
• Assist with monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and research of outstanding items.
• Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with tracking operating expenses, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Support quarterly and ad hoc regulatory reporting and internal and external audit requests.
• Assist with Treasury activities and projects, including research and analysis as needed.
• Work with members of the Accounting and Treasury teams on special projects and ad hoc analysis.

Summary

The Finance Intern will support a variety of activities across the Accounting and Treasury teams while gaining hands‑on experience with the financial operations of a growing bank. The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Leader Bank salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.

Salary Minimum: 43,680.00 - Salary Max: 49,920.00
