Job summary

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, seeks a Senior Financial Associate to support daily departmental operations through finance, HR, and admin tasks. You will validate transactions, assist with sponsored research, manage personnel documents, support payroll, and analyze data across financial, academic, and HR activities.

You will collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to ensure compliance with university policies and to improve accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: 4+ years in accounting and human resources roles.
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: basic accounting, communication, organization, confidentiality, and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Validate cash management, prepare journal entries, and assist with cost allocations.
• Support payroll, HR processes, and HR documentation including I-9/E-Verification.
• Analyze data for financial, academic, and HR activities and monitor sponsored projects.
• Coordinate administrative tasks like timetables, events, and seminars.
