FINANCE INTERN-FINANCE DEPARTMENT
The City of Watertown is seeking an Finance Intern as we enter the end of year account season to support the needs of the City of Watertown. This position reports to the Finance Director in supporting day to day tasks of the office.
This internship is designed to give students hands-on experience with trasactions as they relate to cash handling, accounting systems, customer service with the citizens and staff of the City of Watertown. The Finance Intern will work semi-independently and under general supervision.
Candidates will be a high school student (junior or senior preferred) or college student enrolled in information technology or computer science coursework. Applicants will have good communication skills, a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully, and strong attention to detail. Students will be able to demonstrate a basic computer knowledge (e.g., using Windows, web browsers, or Microsoft Office).
This is a non-benefitted position with flexible work hours during the business day not to exceed 10-15 hours a week.
Currently posted compensation starts at $17.00, DOQ.
