Job summary

Bain Capital is seeking a Finance Director focused on Tech Opportunities in Boston to lead fund accounting, reporting, FP&A, and portfolio oversight for a premier private equity platform. Qualifications

• Fund accounting and reporting responsibilities including financial statements, investor reports, capital calls and distributions.
• Financial planning and analysis with performance metrics and projections to support investment teams and senior leadership.
• Portfolio company oversight with valuation support and exit planning within the Tech Opportunities fund.
• Operational controls and compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks governing private equity funds.
• Investor relations support with responses to inquiries and data for fundraising.
• External partner management with auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators.

Responsibilities

• Directing the preparation and review of financial statements, investor reports, and capital calls and distributions.
• Providing detailed financial analysis, performance metrics, and projections to support investment teams and senior leadership in decision-making processes.
• Collaborating with investment teams on financial monitoring and reporting of portfolio companies within the Tech Opportunities fund, including valuation support and exit planning.
• Establishing and maintaining robust internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure financial accuracy and data integrity while complying with legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Assisting with investor inquiries and providing financial data for fundraising and ongoing investor communication.
• Managing relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators to ensure efficient and compliant fund operations.
