  • Experience with nonprofit accounting, financial audits, and IRS Form 990 reporting is required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial information to executives, committees, and board members.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department managers and executive leadership.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide financial analysis to support informed decision making.
  • Develop and manage cash flow projections to ensure organizational stability.
  • Prepare timely financial reports and oversee day-to-day financial operations.
  • Coordinate the annual independent audit and IRS Form 990 preparation.
  • Partner with the Finance Committee and Board of Trustees by providing financial reporting and budget oversight.
  • Manage organizational risk through insurance administration and collaboration with HR partners.
  • Supervise the Finance Associate and oversee payroll, accounts payable, reconciliations, and other accounting functions.
  • Develop and maintain effective financial controls, policies, and procedures that support organizational success.

Join Our Team

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and collaborative Finance Director to lead the financial operations of our nonprofit organization. Reporting to the Executive Producer, this key leadership role is responsible for ensuring the organization’s financial health, supporting long-term sustainability, and providing sound financial guidance to leadership and the Board of Trustees.

Seeking a Finance Director with demonstrated experience managing cashflow, prioritizing financial resources, and developing strategic solutions through sound decision making.

What You’ll Do

As Finance Director, you will oversee all aspects of the organization’s financial management, including:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department managers and executive leadership.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide financial analysis to support informed decision making.
  • Develop and manage cash flow projections to ensure organizational stability.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a finance professional with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
  • Experience with nonprofit accounting, financial audits, and IRS Form 990 reporting is required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial information to executives, committees, and board members.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online required.
