• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting expertise.
• Proven ability to influence business decisions through data-driven insights and recommendations.

• Model compelling financial storytelling, turning complex data into understanding, alignment, and action.
• Lead and execute annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance management processes.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to evaluate investments, strategic initiatives, and business opportunities through data-driven financial analysis.

About the Role

Hearth & Home Technologies is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, Finance to serve as the senior finance leader for our Fireplace Business Unit. In this role, you will partner closely with business leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product Portfolio Management, and Operations to drive profitable growth, improve business performance, and support key strategic initiatives.

This position combines financial leadership, strategic planning, business partnership, and team leadership in a highly visible and advisory-level role with direct impact on long-term business success.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the strategic advisor to the business unit’s Senior Vice President and critical partner to the leadership team , providing actionable insights and guidance to support executive decision making
• Create a strong working partnership with the VP, Finance in a matrix reporting relationship to establish, refine and represent company financial practices, processes and systems as an influential enterprise leader
• Model compelling financial storytelling, turning complex data into understanding, alignment, and action
• Lead and execute annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance management processes
• Serve as a strategic business partner to sales leadership by leading the review of sales performance, account trends, and key commercial metrics; proactively identify emerging issues, risks, and opportunities, challenge assumptions, and guide data-driven decisions that support revenue growth and achievement of business objectives
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to evaluate investments, strategic initiatives, and business opportunities through data-driven financial analysis
• Drive revenue growth and margin improvement by identifying opportunities related to pricing, cost management, and operational efficiency
• Influence business unit pricing strategies and oversee s ales forecasting, and sales compensation programs
• Influence business performance through financial planning, scenario analysis, and strategic guidance
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial processes, reporting, and overall business effectiveness
• Improve the systems and processes that support effective financial metrics and data that informs effective decision-making
• Share accountability for business unit P&L performance and achievement of financial objectives
• Develop, coach, and lead a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvemen t
• Bachelor's degree in Finance , Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance management
• 5+ years of leadership experience, including coaching and developing finance professionals
• Demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting expertise
• Proven ability to influence business decisions through data-driven insights and recommendations
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic priorities and operational execution.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant advanced degree or certification
• Manufacturing, durable goods, consumer products, or building products industry experience
• Experience supporting commercial functions such as Sales, Marketing, Product Management, or Pricing
• Experience with sales forecasting, pricing strategy, and sales compensation programs
• Demonstrated success driving profit improvement, cost optimization, and growth initiatives
• Experience partnering directly with executive leadership teams and supporting P&L management
• 20% target annual bonus opportunity
