Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at the Director of Finance role I posted here on LinkedIN, I appreciate it.
Before we go further, just a few notes about me. I am a real, live, human posting this. So, not a 'bot' not an 'Ai engine'. In addition, I like to write JDs (Job Descriptions) to identify what we really need...as opposed to 100 things that say - essentially - nothing. So, let's make a deal here...I will be a real, honest to goodness, human in this process..lets have real live humans respond...as opposed to an Ai generated response. Sound good?
Most of the work I do is for profit. In other words, I get a fee from the employer to find talent...this is different. I am volunteering my time (so no fee from the client, no fee from the candidate) for a nonprofit that I am helping find a Finance Director.

As anyone in the Nonprofit space knows, dedication to the mission and it’s programs are also a key to success. A personal connection or genuine interest in helping Latina and Immigrant Women, working with eliminating domestic and sexual violence, and working with health educators are things that we would really like to see in the next candidate for this role. You will have a staff of 2-3 to manage as well.
As one might expect, the main responsibilities for a role like this encompass strategic foresight & financial planning, long-range modeling, budgeting & variance, asset & capital management, program partnership, systems & process optimization, internal controls, audit coordination grant accounting, board & executive reporting, staff management & development and cross-departmental collaboration. These are all 'table stakes'. However, on top of this, we need someone that has a true corazon (heart) for helping those women who have been affected by abuse.
