Job summary

Franklin Electric is seeking candidates for its Finance Development Program (FDP) in Fort Wayne, IN. The program offers three 12-month rotations across finance and accounting, with mentorship, executive exposure, and challenging assignments to build future finance leaders.

You will work on financial reporting, budgeting, data-driven improvements, and partner with teams worldwide to deliver insights. A degree by May 2027, GPA 3.0+, leadership, and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or 5th-year master’s in finance, accounting, economics, data analytics, or business-related degree by May 2027.
  • Equivalent GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience required.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills preferred.
  • Passion for finance and accounting.
  • Relevant internships or co-ops are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages including balance sheet and P&L analysis.
  • Support the annual budget process and rolling forecasts, analyzing variances.
  • Leverage data analytics and AI-enabled tools to solve business problems and improve processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across regions to provide insights.

What you will be doing:
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages, including balance sheet and P&L analysis.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the annual budget process and rolling forecasts, analyzing variances.
  • Data & AI-enabled Solutions: Solve business problems and improve processes through proficiency and interest in leveraging data, analytics, and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools.
  • Business Partnership: Work with cross-functional teams in various regions (NAM, LATAM, South America, EMEA, APAC) to provide insights.

What you need:
  • A bachelor’s or fifth-year master’s degree (received by May 2027) in finance, accounting, economics, data analytics, or business-related degree is required
  • An equivalent cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Demonstrated leadership experience is required
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel is preferred
  • Passion for finance and accounting
  • Relevant, real-world experience through prior projects, internships and co-ops is a plus
  • Ability to excel in a team-based environment
