Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT, is expanding its Finance DTO data analytics and automation team to deliver more insightful financial reporting. The role focuses on building and maintaining Power BI data models, developing automations with Alteryx, and delivering dashboards for financial analytics.

We seek entry-level and mid-career professionals with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3+ years experience in data modeling, visualization, and reporting.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business, finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of combined experience in data modeling, data visualization, and/or reporting or, for entry-level or early-career candidates, a data-focused major or advanced degree and/or relevant certifications
• Experience in Power BI (or similar software) data visualizations
• Willingness to become proficient in new software; eagerness to learn

Overview

Overview: EB’s Finance Digital Transformation Office (DTO) is further growing its data analytics and automation team to enable more insightful, interactive, and resilient financial data reporting as EB grows to support increasing demand for submarines from the US Navy in a world of rapidly transforming technology capabilities. The candidates selected for this position will be responsible for building and maintaining data models and dashboards in Power BI as well as automations in Alteryx. They will also be supporting a variety of AI, data, and technology related efforts. We are seeking both entry-level and mid-career professionals for this team.

Job Description:

• Building and maintaining Power BI data models


• Developing automations and processes that grow Finance’s data analytics infrastructure, including using Alteryx
