Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking anAccounts Payable professional in Chicago to compile and maintain accounts payable records. you will review invoices for documentation and ensure timely payment to vendors, print and signatures on checks, and distribute payments accurately.

You will act as a liaison between corporate and branch AP departments, maintain AP reports, and assist with monthly closings. Compass Group offers Instapay and diverse employee benefits to support your wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Reviews invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks.
• Distributes signed checks as required.
• Prepares garnishment checks per reports from payroll.
• Acts as liaison between corporate and branch accounts payable departments.
• Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files.
• Assists Corporate Financial Officers and branch personnel as necessary.
• Prepares cleared checks for storage.
• Assembles and processes overnight shipments to branches.
• Assists in monthly closings.
• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
