AtriCure, Inc. in Mason, Ohio, is seeking a Finance Co-op to support month-end close, variance analysis, travel reporting, and budgeting activities. This role focuses on FP&A and will assist the Manager, FP&A, with routine analyses and special assignments.

The position offers exposure to financial planning processes in a fast-paced environment and opportunities to contribute to cross-functional projects within a global company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prepare accurate analyses and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Assist FP&A team with BVAs and budget variance analysis.
• Consolidate monthly AmEx reports for department insights.
• Analyze variance between actuals and forecast.
• Consolidate operating expenses by department monthly.
• Support quarterly forecast refresh with actuals.
• Participate in Finance projects as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Finance Co-op will participate in month-end closing procedures, including variance analysis with external departments, travel reporting, budget file updates, and other items as needed. This position is primarily focused on financial planning and analysis and will assist the Manager, FP&A, as needed. This position will also support routine financial analyses and participate in special assignments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

• Assist the FP&A team in preparing files for budget vs actuals (BVAs) for their respective departments
• Consolidation of monthly AmEx reports to be used for analysis by departmental leaders
• Variance fluctuation analysis on assigned departments with comparison of actuals to forecast
• Monthly consolidation of operating expenses by department, including updating budget files with actuals
• Assist with rolling and updating quarterly forecast refresh files with actuals
• Follow policies, procedures, and control enhancements related to assigned areas
• Participate in various Finance projects as requested

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance or related field
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to communicate within the organization and to external parties
• Detail-oriented with appropriate organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and prepare accurate analyses and reconciliations
