Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison College of Engineering (COE) Finance & Administrative Office seeks an Associate Director for Finance to lead budget, forecasting and financial operations across the college’s departments and research units.

Reporting to the Associate Dean for Finance & Administration, you will develop reports, manage resources, implement controls, supervise two finance staff, and partner with unit leaders to align financial plans with the college strategy.

Qualifications

• High level budget or financial experience.
• Experience preparing budgets, financial reports, and spreadsheets.
• Experience interpreting and analyzing financial data.

Responsibilities

• Exercise supervisory authority over at least 2.0 FTE employees.
• Plan and direct financial operations, budgets, and compensation plans.
• Monitor automated financial information systems and ledgers for multiple functional areas.
• Develop and monitor gift funds to ensure resources are utilized effectively and within donor intent.
• Direct the solicitation, review, and awarding of funds from grant programs and integrated research projects.
