San Jose State University’s Department of Accounting and Finance in the Lucas College of Business invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Finance beginning August 2027. The successful candidate will teach finance courses across undergraduate, MS Financial Analytics, and MBA programs and engage in scholarly research.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Finance by start of appointment.
• Scholarly Academic qualification under AACSB standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Teach finance courses across undergraduate, MS Financial Analytics, and MBA programs.
• Engage in research targeted to finance journals and publish in peer‑reviewed outlets.
• Participate in shared governance and department, college, and university service.
• Organize classes within the Canvas LMS and support inclusive course materials.
• Demonstrate awareness of diverse student needs in teaching and advising.
