Job description

Senior Finance & Strategy Associate | Consumer Finance & Payments
Who we are

We're building a consumer finance platform designed to make financial services simpler, faster, and more accessible. Our platform combines payments and lending products to help consumers manage everyday financial needs through a seamless digital experience.

We're growing quickly and building the infrastructure, products, and team needed to support the next stage of the business. With a data-driven approach to product development and a strong focus on customer experience, we're creating a modern financial platform designed around how consumers actually use money.

We're looking for builders, thinkers, and problem solvers who want to help shape a growing financial services business and have a meaningful impact as we scale.

The Team

The Finance team wears many hats: owning everything from financial planning and reporting to performance analysis, payments economics, lending metrics, and strategic initiatives. As a lean team, we work closely with internal partners across Product, Operations, Risk, Credit, Commercial and Engineering to understand performance and support the company's growth.

Our goal is to bring clarity and discipline to the numbers while helping the wider business make better decisions around growth, profitability, customer economics and capital.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Finance & Strategy Associate to drive forward looking financial insights and strategic decision making across the organization. You'll sit at the intersection of finance, product, operations, risk and commercial strategy, partnering with teams across the business to support core FP&A processes, build reporting infrastructure, and tackle high priority analytical projects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex data, understands how financial products translate into business performance, and wants to make an immediate impact within a growing consumer finance business.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll work closely with the wider Finance team to provide a complete financial picture of the business. You'll be joining a small team where collaboration, ownership, and a willingness to get into the detail are essential.

Where you'll make an impact
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and translating actuals into forward looking projections.
  • Build and maintain financial models for product growth, lending performance, payment volumes, scenario analysis, and long-range planning.
  • Support unit economics analysis across customer acquisition, payment activity, lending products, credit performance and customer cohorts.
  • Develop revenue, contribution margin and profitability forecasts across different products and customer segments.
  • Prepare variance analysis and business reviews that identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support cash flow, liquidity and capital planning as the business scales.
Strategic Insights & Reporting
  • Build and maintain dashboards and models that track financial and operational performance across Finance, Product, Risk, Operations and Commercial teams.
  • Create executive level presentations that communicate business performance, strategic recommendations and key metrics.
  • Develop KPIs that drive decision-making across customer growth, payment volumes, lending performance, credit quality and profitability.
  • Develop reporting infrastructure and automation to improve the speed and quality of financial insights.
  • Partner with Product, Credit and Risk teams to evaluate new products, pricing strategies, lending initiatives and customer economics.
  • Support evaluation of new partnerships, financing opportunities and other strategic initiatives.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, investment banking, management consulting, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong financial modeling capabilities.
  • Experience building financial models and analytical frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and how business operations translate into financial performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively with senior and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Self starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast moving environment.
Nice to haves
  • Experience within fintech, consumer finance, payments, lending, banking, financial services or a related technology business.
  • Experience working with consumer or transaction-level financial data.
  • Familiarity with lending economics, credit metrics, payment economics, cohort analysis or customer lifetime value.
  • Proficiency in SQL or other data querying languages.
  • Experience building financial planning processes or implementing reporting and analytics systems.
  • Experience working in a high growth, venture-backed environment.
What we offer
  • Location: This role is primarily in office with flexibility to work remotely one day a week.
  • High-impact role: Work closely with senior leadership and have direct exposure to strategic decisions across the business.
  • Growth opportunity: Join a lean Finance team with significant scope to take ownership and grow with the company.
  • Competitive Compensation: Competitive base salary + equity.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health benefits, 401(k) matching, wellness benefits and additional company perks.
