Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Financial Analyst-Level 2 on a 1-year contract in Houston, TX to support corporate finance activities including headcount planning, budgeting, capital planning, and executive reporting.

You will partner across Finance, Accounting, Operations, HR and business leaders to maintain models, coordinate budgets, and prepare management reports. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience are required; SAP/ Hyperion experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Headcount planning and workforce forecasting; track hires, attrition and vacancies.
• Reconcile forecasted headcount with HR and finance systems; prepare reports.
• Coordinate with accounting and operations on capital project updates; prepare planning schedules.
• Process vendor invoices; track approvals and coding; coordinate with Accounts Payable.
• Prepare executive management reporting and PowerPoint presentations.

About the role

Location: Houston, TX 77002

We are looking for a Financial Analyst-Level 2 on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) The Finance & Business Planning Analyst will support corporate finance activities including headcount planning, G&A budgeting, capital planning, invoice management, forecasting, and executive reporting. You will partner across Finance, Accounting, Operations, HR, and business leaders to maintain financial models, coordinate budget submissions, prepare management reporting, and support planning projects. You will report to the onsite manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Headcount Planning & Workforce Forecasting (25%), Maintain headcount planning files and workforce forecasts. Track hires, attrition, vacancies, backfills, and organizational changes.
• Reconcile forecasted headcount to HR and finance systems. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual workforce planning exercises. Prepare headcount reports and leadership summaries.
• Coordinate with Accounting and Operations on capital project updates. Prepare capital planning schedules and management reporting.
• Invoice Processing & Financial Administration (15%) Review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper coding. Track invoice approvals and payment status. Coordinate with Accounts Payable.
• Maintain invoice trackers and accrual schedules.
• Executive Reporting & Ad Hoc Analysis (15%) Prepare PowerPoint presentations and management reports.
• Help with projects and special finance projects.

Qualifications

• Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 3 or more years of finance, financial planning, accounting, or business operations experience.

Technical Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP SUMIFS, Financial modeling, Data analysis, PowerPoint presentation development Financial planning and forecasting experience.

Helpful skills

• SAP experience, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar planning tools Fieldglass experience, Workforce planning experience, Capital project accounting exposure Power BI or reporting tools
