Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and 2 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • If degree is in a related field, must have college level accounting coursework for Nevada CPAs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SEC and FERC rules and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares financial reports and statements to support management decision making and SEC/FERC reporting.
  • Resolves accounting and reporting issues in line with Company policy.
  • Investigates fluctuations in financial results and identifies key drivers for management.
  • Prepares schedules for rate cases and responds to data requests from interveners; supports witness testimony.
  • Automates accounting applications to increase productivity and coordinates information needs.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial data for federal reporting as needed.
  • Reviews regulatory transactions for inclusion in financial statements.
