Job summary

Royal Credit Union in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to support the Finance Department with analyses, budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc projects. The role is 15-20 hours per week during the school year and 30-40 hours per week in the summer, onsite at the Corporate Center.

The internship runs January 2027 through May 2028 and includes Foundation Training with travel/lodging reimbursement for out-of-town interns.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Must have completed or be currently enrolled in courses related to Finance and Accounting.
Must be bondable.
Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and basic knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses and reports.
Support the development of forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
Reconcile departmental budgets and investigate variances to ensure accuracy.
Conduct benchmarking and comparative analysis using peer and macroeconomic data.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and complete ad-hoc financial projects.
