Job summary

Emerson in Houston, TX seeks a Financial Analyst to join Global HQ Finance within the Isolation Valves unit. You will support monthly financial reporting, quarterly POR submissions, and annual forecasts for senior leadership, including board meetings.

You will consolidate reports, drive automation of processes, and provide ad-hoc analyses. You will collaborate with World Areas and senior leaders to deliver timely, accurate financial insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar.
• 0–1 year of work experience in accounting/finance.
• Strong data-processing experience with Excel (pivot, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
• Exposure to ERP systems; Oracle/SAP familiarity is a plus.
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar enterprise reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and own weekly KPI reporting for the Global HQ Finance unit.
• Run systemic reports from Power BI, Oracle & Oracle EPM, HFM, or similar systems.
• Create, analyze, and review ad-hoc inquiries for senior leadership.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual updates to the Financial Planning Cycle.
• Drive automation opportunities in regular reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with other functions on financial information preparation.
• Occasionally work extra hours to meet deadlines.
