Amazon seeks a Finance Analyst to support our Accounts Payable team within the FOAA organization in Seattle. You will help close month-end, perform reconciliations, and contribute to financial reporting.

This role emphasizes data-driven decision making, process improvements, and collaboration with auditors. Ideal candidates have Chartered Accountant credentials and 0–3 years of finance experience, with strong Excel/Oracle/SQL skills.

Qualifications

• Experience using data to influence business decisions.
• 0-3 years of finance experience.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant.
• Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support month-end activities including closing sub-ledgers and GL reconciliations.
• Prepare month-end Flux analysis for P&L and Balance Sheet accounts and share with stakeholders.
• Apply accounting knowledge to resolve complex issues and consult with leadership for resolution.
• Ensure financial policies, procedures and internal controls are in place and improved where possible.
• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and address issues with appropriate actions.
• Interact with auditors on audit-related queries to ensure smooth completion of audits.
• Ensure GRC compliance and alignment of changes with stakeholders.
• Support new business/system launches including UAT of accounting entries and financial reporting.
