A prominent consulting firm in Minneapolis is seeking an experienced Management Consultant in Finance & Accounting. This role involves managing teams, improving financial processes, and providing client service. Candidates should hold a BA/BS in a related field, possess a CPA or MBA, and have at least 8 years of relevant experience. Competitive salary range: $110,000–$150,000, along with performance-based bonuses and extensive benefits including medical, 401(k) matching, and unlimited PTO.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience as Controller, Finance Manager, or Senior Manager.
• Prior client service experience preferred.
• Public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage teams to improve internal processes.
• Lead finance assessments and transformations.
• Provide transitional services to clients.
• Analyze and evaluate internal controls.
• Develop and implement strategies for internal controls.

Skills

Ability to make client recommendations and follow-through to execution

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to effectively manage a team according to project plans and budgets

Thorough working knowledge of accounting software and systems

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Advanced Excel skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong research and technical writing skills

Education

BA/BS degree in accounting, finance or related field
