Job summary

GreenStone Farm Credit Services in East Lansing, MI is offering a paid Finance & Accounting Internship for May 2027 to August 2027. The internship is based in our East Lansing office and pays $20 per hour.

You will gain hands-on experience in agricultural finance, perform wires and ACH tasks, assist with loan payments and escrow, and help with reconciliations while supporting staff to deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Sophomore status or above in your academic program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.00 is required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Review and release wires.
• Review daily ACH report.
• Initiate recurring ACH payments.
• Assist with properly applying payments to loans.
• Assist with escrow process.
• Reconcile daily balancing accounts.
• Engage in finance and accounting projects.
• Assist staff to ensure customer service exceeds expectations.
