Responsibilities

• Inspect products to verify conformance to customer specifications.
• Complete progress reports and identify job and start time.
• Review Work Orders for special instructions and ensure setup is correct.
• Ensure station layout, tags and labels are appropriate for the job.
• Complete Sign-Off checklist and obtain required signatures.
• Inspect parts for defects and proper margins; rework or replace damaged parts as needed.
• Set up or operate machines to slit or punch material.
• Perform hand manipulation to remove waste and cut/trims as needed.

• Assure the station layout, tags and labels are appropriate for the job

• Perform hand manipulation when required – peeling waste off the part
• Rework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies.
• Set and verify parts clearances.
• Verify conformance of parts using measuring instruments such as punch box or templates.
• Cut trim parts for assembly.
• Examine completed workpieces for defects such as chipped edges and marred surfaces.
• Set up, operate, or tend machines to slit or punch material.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

Physical Demands

• This position involves sitting for long periods of time.
