Job summary

AKG is hiring Final Assemblers for the 2nd Shift (2PM-10PM, Mon-Fri) to assemble and prepare cooling packages for shipment in Mitchell, SD. You will follow our established work orders and blueprints to ensure high quality products.

As a Final Assembly Worker, you will inspect parts, locate needed components, use basic tools, and work with a team to meet production quotas while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and adhering to our EMS policies.

Qualifications

• Read and understand the work instruction list and print off the related blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the quality of the coolers, and use corrective tools to make any necessary repairs and adjustments.
• Locate and retrieve parts needed for assembly.
• Move the cooling package to the work area using manual handling or chain hoist as needed.
• Assemble and attach parts to the cooling package according to blueprint instructions.
• Move the completed cooling package from the work area to the skid, with spacers as required.
• Document the assembly process and place a label on the cooling package indicating completion.
• Use a saw to cut plywood and build skids when needed.
• Meet production quotas set by the Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of various parts used in the Final Assembly department.
• Report any issues to the Supervisor immediately.
• Adhere to AKG EMS policies and requirements.
• Regular physical attendance is required for this position.

Job Summary / Resumen del Puesto
As a Final Assembly Worker, you will be responsible for locating, retrieving, and assembling parts onto coolers according to work order instructions. Once assembly is complete, you will prepare the coolers for shipment by moving them to a skid and preparing them for the Shipping department.
Como Trabajador/a de Ensamblaje Final, serás responsable de ubicar, recuperar y ensamblar piezas en los enfriadores según las instrucciones de la orden de trabajo. Minimum Qualifications / Calificaciones Mínimas:

• 1 Year Experience working in a manufacturing environment is required, prior experience in Assembly is preferred. 1 Año de Experiencia en Manufactura es Requerido, experiencia en Ensamblaje es preferido.
• Read and understand the work instruction list and print off the related blueprints. Leer y entender la lista de instrucciones de trabajo e imprimir los planos correspondientes.
• Ability to read, write and understand detailed blueprint instructions. Capacidad para leer, escribir y entender instrucciones detalladas de planos.

Responsibilities / Responsabilidades

• Inspect the quality of the coolers, and use corrective tools to make any necessary repairs and adjustments. Inspeccionar la calidad de los enfriadores y usar herramientas correctivas para realizar reparaciones y ajustes necesarios.
• Locate and retrieve parts needed for assembly. Ubicar y recuperar las piezas necesarias para el ensamblaje.
• Manually, or with the assistance of a chain hoist, move the cooling package to the work area. Mover manualmente, o con la ayuda de una grúa de cadena, el paquete de refrigeración al área de trabajo.
• Assemble and attach parts to the cooling package according to the blueprint instructions. Ensamblar y fijar las piezas al paquete de refrigeración según las instrucciones del plano.
• Move the completed cooling package from the work area to the appropriate skid, stacking them with wood or cardboard spacers. Mover el paquete de refrigeración ensamblado del área de trabajo a la plataforma correspondiente, apilando los paquetes con espaciadores de madera o cartón.
• Document the assembly process and place a label on the cooling package indicating completion. Documentar el proceso de ensamblaje y colocar una etiqueta en el paquete de refrigeración para indicar su finalización.

Physical Demands / Demandas Físicas

• Must be able to sit (20%), walk (45%), and stand (35%) of the time. May also be required to bend, stoop, pull, push, twist, and turn. Debe poder estar sentado (20%), caminar (45%) y de pie (35%) del tiempo. También puede ser necesario agacharse, inclinarse, tirar, empujar, girar y torcerse.
