Job Summary

Assemble products with blueprints and manuals while ensuring all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product and conform to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functionality, capabilities, and conformance to customer specifications.
  • Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies.
  • Read and interpret assembly blueprints and specification manuals.
  • Plan assembly and building operations.
  • Verify conformance of parts to stock lists or blueprints using calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Fasten or install piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools, rivet guns, or welding equipment.
  • Remove rough spots and smooth surfaces to fit, trim, or clean parts using power tools.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment to move and position equipment and parts.
  • Operating safety equipment and comply with safety standards.
  • Maintain both equipment and the facility to ensure optimum working conditions.
  • Inspect outsourced products in accordance with engineering drawings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of machine and tool designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Experience with hydraulics and the installation of hydraulic components.
  • Experience with basic electrical wiring.
  • Able to conduct testing and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • High level of mechanical ability.
