Job Summary

Assemble products with blueprints and manuals while ensuring all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product and conform to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functionality, capabilities, and conformance to customer specifications.
Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies.
Read and interpret assembly blueprints and specification manuals.
Plan assembly and building operations.
Verify conformance of parts to stock lists or blueprints using calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
Fasten or install piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools, rivet guns, or welding equipment.
Remove rough spots and smooth surfaces to fit, trim, or clean parts using power tools.
Operate forklifts and other equipment to move and position equipment and parts.
Operating safety equipment and comply with safety standards.
Maintain both equipment and the facility to ensure optimum working conditions.
Inspect outsourced products in accordance with engineering drawings.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge of machine and tool designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Experience with hydraulics and the installation of hydraulic components.
Experience with basic electrical wiring.
Able to conduct testing and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience in a manufacturing setting.
High level of mechanical ability.
