Job summary

Young Automotive Group is seeking a Production Specialist to edit raw footage into broadcast-ready deliverables across TV, digital ads, and social platforms. You will support producers and cinematographers on shoots, and independently plan, shoot, and edit short-form videos that showcase our brands in Utah and Idaho.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of professional editing experience, strong proficiency in Premiere Pro, and comfort with After Effects, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience (commercial, branded content, or documentary work)
• Hands-on experience assisting on multi-camera shoots; comfortable on a B-camera or gimbal
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing deadlines and on-set challenges
• Demonstrated ownership of projects from concept to final cut; proactive and solutions-oriented
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into polished, broadcast-ready deliverables (TV, digital ads, social videos).
• Support producers and cinematographers on shoots with equipment prep and shot-list management.
• Plan, shoot, and edit short-form video projects end-to-end (socials, product features, testimonials).
• Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and account teams to execute concepts and incorporate feedback.

Responsibilities:

• Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, broadcast-ready deliverables, including television commercials, digital ads, YouTube content, and social media videos, using Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable professional editing software.
• Production Support: Assist producers and cinematographers on shoots with equipment preparation, shot list management, and location scouting as needed.
• Independent Production: Plan, shoot, and edit short-form video projects end-to-end, such as social media promotions, product features, and client testimonials.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with copywriters, designers, and account teams to execute creative concepts, and incorporate stakeholder feedback efficiently and accurately into revisions.
• Industry Awareness: Stay current on emerging video trends, formats, and production tools (e.g., vertical video, AI‑assisted workflows) and recommend techniques that improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience (commercial, branded content, or documentary work); a portfolio demonstrating this experience is required
• Hands‑on experience assisting on multi‑camera shoots; comfortable operating a B‑camera or gimbal when needed
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions, tight deadlines, and unexpected challenges on set
• Demonstrated ownership of projects from concept to final cut, with a proactive, solutions‑oriented approach
• Ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with motion graphics or basic animation
• FAA Part 107 drone certification or experience operating drones (e.g., DJI Mavic)
• Familiarity with social media analytics and platform‑specific content performance
• Strong creative instincts for pacing, timing, and audience engagement
