Job summary

Meridian Adhesives Group is seeking a production operator to set up, run, and monitor filling and packaging equipment on the 1st shift.

This role follows SOPs, performs changeovers, keeps logs, troubleshoots routine issues, and communicates with leads and maintenance. 1–3 years' manufacturing experience preferred; 10-hour shifts, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Thursday.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in filling, packaging, or manufacturing roles, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor multiple filling and packaging machines.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform equipment set-ups, cleaning, adjustments, and product changeovers with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot and resolve routine mechanical or process issues on the production line.
• Monitor production efficiency and maintain basic logs/records.
• Report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.

• Fill Tech I: basic operation of filling equipment, following SOPs, and performing routine tasks.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for performing machine set-ups, changeovers, and in-process quality checks while maintaining accurate production documentation. Operates and troubleshoots multiple types of filling equipment with minimal supervision. Assists in problem-solving, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficiency and compliance with company standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Independently operate and monitor multiple types of filling and packaging equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform equipment set-ups, equipment cleaning, adjustments, and product changeovers with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot and resolve routine mechanical or process issues on the production line.
• Monitor production efficiency and recommend minor process improvements.
• Report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Accurately complete basic production logs and records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in operating multiple filling and packaging machines.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving routine equipment and process issues.
• Effective communication skills to interact with leads, supervisors, and maintenance staff.
• Adaptability to handle frequent product changeovers and equipment adjustments.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in filling, packaging, or manufacturing roles, preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. independently and heavier loads with assistance.
• Tolerance for exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and manufacturing environments.

Schedule

10 hour shifts - 1st Shift 5:00AM - 3:30PM Monday through Thursday

Pay

The starting hourly rate is $19.00 per hour.
