Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Production Operator – Filler/Strainer in McCarran, NV. You will join a team that uses automated filling equipment to manufacture and package paints and related materials.

This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaboration to keep production flowing smoothly. Starting pay is $23.61 per hour with a 4 x 10 schedule (Mon-Thu, 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM) and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Able to read, understand, and follow instructions and operating procedures in English.
  • Able to wear all required PPE (hard hat, FR uniform, safety shoes, gloves, glasses).
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on temperatures with batch processes.
  • Experienced with SAP or related systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a PSM building with solvents and solvent‑borne materials.
  • Set up, monitor, troubleshoot, and operate filling equipment.
  • Perform quality inspections (weights, labeling, coding checks).
  • Communicate issues to management or maintenance staff.
  • Lift cases or pails onto filling line conveyors as needed.
  • Operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) to supply or remove materials.
  • Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in work areas.
  • Support production line efficiency improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
