Job summary

Lactalis USA in Brattleboro, VT is seeking a dedicated Filler Machine Operator to setup, run, and maintain filling/packaging equipment. You will ensure product quality, monitor throughput, and follow sanitation and QA procedures in a fast-paced dairy manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience with filling machines, plus strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet production deadlines.

• Hygiene regulations compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate filling/Packaging equipment, adhering to quality assurance, productivity, OSHA, and safety standards.
• Assemble and disassemble equipment for proper cleaning/sanitizing and operating per manufacture instructions.
• Monitor and control the flow of product through machine.
• Provide required samples to the laboratory for appraisal prior to finished product storage in the warehouse.
• Maintain food safety and food quality by completing tasks and keeping the work area sanitary.
• Wear food safety/sanitation clothing.
• Conform to personal hygiene regulations.
• Report food safety problems to the appropriate authority.
• Ensure all programs are upheld and documentation is current.

Key responsibilities for this position include Filler Machine operators set up, operate, and maintain machinery, usually in a manufacturing setting. Lactalis' (FMO) is responsible for ensuring the machine produces high-quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.

• Report food safety problems to personal with authority to initiate action.
• Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.
