Job summary

Malibu Wellness, Inc. is seeking a Fill Operator in Indianapolis, IN to produce powder or liquid filled sub-assemblies and finished goods. The role requires standing in the warehouse, operating fill line equipment, and maintaining quality and production records.

Responsibilities

• Operate the fill line to produce powder or liquid filled sub-assemblies and finished goods according to work orders.
• Prepare equipment and ensure proper setup for production runs.
• Maintain the fill weight within specified tolerances with quality checks every 15 minutes.
• Record production quantities, times, and final counts for each work order.
• Keep the work area clean and organized and participate in monthly huddles and annual counts.

Job Summary:

The Fill Operator is responsible for producing powder or liquid filled sub-assemblies and/or finished goods to fulfill the planned production schedule.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Produces powder or liquid filled sub-assemblies and/or finished goods to satisfy the demand quantity requested on the work order with the available components and tools.
• Prepares the fill line equipment to produce the powder or liquid filled sub-assemblies and/or finished goods to satisfy the production demand
• Coordinates with Quality Department to accept and maintain the fill weight range of powder or liquid filled product as it is being produced on the fill line.
• Follow the steps of the Fill Line Manufacturing Record and records sample fill weights on the Production Quality log every fifteen minutes.
• Reviews and maintains the quality standards of all components during the production fill of the powder or liquid filled sub-assemblies and/or finished goods.
• Runs the fill line equipment to produce the powder or liquid filled sub-assemblies and/or finished goods to satisfy the requested demand quantity of the work order.
• Reviews and maintains the quality standards of the finished powder or liquid filled sub-assemblies and/or finished goods.
• Counts all remaining components after the completion of work order quantity.
• Completes the documentation of the work order with final counts of all components used.
• Records the time range used to complete the work order quantity.
• Completes the work order with the final count of the requested powder or liquid filled sub-assemblies and/or finished goods of the work order.
• Completes the skid tag(s) with total quantity of product placed on each skid, the date of production, the lot number of the product, and number of skids per work order.
• Maintains order and cleanliness of the work area, including daily housekeeping.
  • Attend monthly production/quality/R&D and maintenance huddles.
  • Participate in annual cycle counts.
  • Participate in performance evaluation with supervisor at year end.
  • Wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required, inclusive of hair nets, beard nets, gloves, arm coverings, and hearing protection as appropriate.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to move around the warehouse.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Work is primarily performed inside the warehouse.
• Exposure to loud noise levels, vibration, chemicals, dust, mechanical hazards, and moving objects or other vehicles.
• May be exposed to cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions.
• Use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs) is required when operating the vibratory bowl and any other areas that ear plugs are required.
