Job summary

Caprock Academy seeks a fifth grade teacher for September 2026. The role entails delivering the entire fifth grade program in a classically oriented curriculum, collaborating with peers, and supporting ambitious student achievement in a charter school setting.

FLSA exempt; regular, full-time position with 40-hour work weeks. Salary range $43,000–$55,000, reporting to the K-6 Dean of Students, with benefits including PERA, health/dental/vision, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field (teaching license preferred).
• Classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and collaboration with peers.

Responsibilities

• Create lesson plans aligned with classical education philosophy.
• Research and gather resources and materials for lesson units.
• Collaborate with grade level team to plan and problem-solve.
• Set up classroom materials and equipment.
• Monitor, assess and report on student progress.
• Communicate clearly with teachers, students and parents.
• Attend faculty meetings and trainings.
