Job summary

Republic Services is hiring an Operations Laborer to perform general labor duties safely and efficiently at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center or landfill. Responsibilities include yard clean-up, fueling vehicles, operating general site equipment, and performing maintenance tasks as needed.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of landscaping, experience with hand and shop tools, and the ability to prioritize, stay focused, and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of landscaping and skilled using landscaping equipment.
• Skilled using hand and shop tools, and instruments.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
• Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean up work areas.
• Fuel vehicles and equipment.
• Operate general site vehicles and equipment.
• Perform yard work including mowing and paper pickup.
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs.
• Install temporary wind fences as required.
• Direct traffic at the site when necessary.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
