RK Mechanical is hiring Field Welders in Cheyenne, WY to build mechanical piping systems for commercial and industrial projects. You will weld pipe in the field, ensure high-quality, sound welds, and support installations while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe using SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), and GMAW (MIG) as required by the project.
• Produce complete, sound welds with a clean finish that meet standards.
• Support mechanical system installations and identify work not meeting plans or codes.
• Plan daily/weekly work, coordinate with crew, and request required materials/tools.
• Meet production goals while maintaining safe, high-quality workmanship.
• Maintain personal hand tools needed for assigned work.

What you'll do

• Weld pipe using SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), and GMAW (MIG), as qualified and required by the project.

• Produce complete, sound welds that meet quality standards and have a clean finish.

• Support mechanical system installations and identify work that may fall short of plans, specifications, or code requirements.

• Plan daily and weekly work, coordinate with the crew, and request the materials, tools, and equipment needed to keep work moving.

• Meet production goals while maintaining safe, high-quality workmanship.

• Maintain the personal hand tools needed for your assigned work.

Field Welder 1 and Field Welder 2 assignments depend on your skills, experience, and level of responsibility. Field Welder 1 may provide crew guidance and work with more independence; Field Welder 2 works with closer supervision.
