Job summary

Mattox Plumbing in Madison, WI is seeking a General Laborer to support our plumbing team on construction sites. You will make deliveries between the warehouse and job sites, assist with loading, and help keep work areas clean and organized.

Key duties include handling materials, running equipment, and assisting plumbers. We value reliability, safety, and a proactive work ethic in a fast-paced contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Must be highly motivated and organized with attention to detail.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Comfortable following directions and working under supervision.
• Reliability and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Make deliveries to and from warehouse to job site.
• Run equipment as needed.
• Clean up workstations from debris.
• Handle & transport materials within the job site.
• Hand digging.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Assist with daily replenishments for plumbers.
• Check in and restock shelves.
• Empty garbage cans, breakdown and sort scrap metal.
• Work with foremen and managers on shop orders.
• Assist with any other required jobs or duties.

General laborer duties vary depending on the setting they work in and their level of specialization. They usually work at construction sites where they could help erect scaffolding, clean-up sites and assist their team members. General labor tasks consist of deliveries, running equipment, warehouse upkeep, and construction jobsite tasks (e.g. hand digging, jobsite organizing, and cleanup).

• Make deliveries to and from warehouse to job site
• Run equipment
• Clean up workstations from debris
