Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC in Colorado is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to perform plant walkdowns, verify P&ID as-is conditions, and document changes in the field. The role requires 5+ years of instrumentation or mechanical engineering experience and will involve occasional overnight travel.

You will photograph equipment, capture data, and submit daily reports using client-provided handheld apps.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Instrument or Mechanical) or equivalent with 5+ years of experience.
• Field-based role requiring lifting up to 30 lbs and overnight stays as needed.
• Experience with P&ID verification and field walkdowns in industrial settings.
• Proficient in capturing equipment data, photos, and documenting field changes.
• Strong adherence to safety practices and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Perform plant walkdowns and field equipment verification against P&ID as-is conditions.
• Mark up P&ID and engineering documents based on observed field changes.
• Capture equipment data, photos, and connections using handheld inspection apps.
• Submit daily field walkdown reports to town/office and maintain expense records.
• Drive 4x4 to reach facilities, keep vehicle in good condition, and stay overnight when required.
• Uphold safety practices and follow coordinator instructions on daily tasks.

Job Description & Skill Requirement:

• Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience and good with Plant walk down activities


• Carry out Field Equipment Walkdown and P&ID v/s As-is condition verification


• Carry out P&ID/ Engineering document markups based on changes observed in field.


• Capture photos of equipment, covering different views and its connections using client developed inspection applications from handheld devices (customer provided or personnel).


• Capture equipment data, such as field identification, nameplate data, and any other required technical Information.


• Can involve lifting equipment up to 30 lbs.


• Submit the reports of field walkdown to town office on a daily basis.


• Drive company's 4x4 on daily basis to reach facilities - can involve off-road driving.


• Keep the vehicle in up and running condition.


• Submit expenses on Company's online system.


• This is a field-based role, 40 hrs a week, with minimum expectations to


• Imbibe safety practices while carrying out above tasks.


• Stay over-night outside of base location as and when required


• Rent 4x4 vehicle at Company's expense, if Company's vehicle is not available.


• Maintain professional conduct at all times, and adhere to Coordinator's instructions on day-to-day tasks.
