Job summary

Ambassador Retail in the Greater DC area is seeking an experienced Visual Merchandiser / Field Ambassador for ongoing, part-time work across apparel and accessory brands in department stores and specialty retailers.

The role includes recurring in-store merchandising visits as well as opportunities to support new store openings, seasonal resets, and other special visual merchandising projects. You will ensure brand standards at store level and build relationships with store teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on retail visual merchandising experience.
• Strong eye for presentation and product placement.
• Ability to work independently in department store and specialty retail environments.
• Comfortable dressing and styling mannequins.
• Reliable, organized, and communicative.
• Flexible schedule for recurring and project-based work.

Responsibilities

• Execute merchandising according to brand directives and seasonal priorities.
• Merchandise apparel and accessories to create brand-right presentations.
• Dress mannequins and style them.
• Organize, size, replenish, and maintain merchandise on the selling floor.
• Identify opportunities to improve product presentation and visibility.
• Build relationships with department store managers and selling teams.
• Communicate brand priorities and product knowledge when applicable.
• Provide photos and a recap after each store visit.
• Support new store openings and visual merchandising installations.
• Assist with product placement, fixture merchandising, styling, and overall store presentation.
• Execute seasonal resets, launches, and project-based assignments.
• Work independently or with brand and visual merchandising teams.
