Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services seeks a Traveling Pole Inspector to ensure safety, reliability, and functionality of wooden utility poles. Training will cover inspection procedures, safety protocols, and industry standards with extensive travel required.

You will learn to evaluate pole condition, assist in maintenance planning, document inspections, and maintain records for tools and equipment while complying with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather, lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Demonstrate leadership and responsibility for safe vehicle and tool operations.
• Professional attitude representing the organization to clients and communities.

Responsibilities

• Undergo training to understand basic pole inspections and safety protocols.
• Learn inspection procedures to evaluate pole condition and integrity.
• Assist in identifying issues and contributing to maintenance planning.
• Complete inspection records and report per codes and regulations.
• Collect field data and perform daily/weekly reports.
• Maintain records for tools, electronics, vehicles, and equipment.
• Adhere to company and government safety regulations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
