Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a dedicated Utility Locator to identify and mark underground utilities in designated areas. You will work outdoors in varying weather, traveling to sites in a company vehicle, and completing detailed locate tickets and photos.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, read maps, and communicate clearly with crews and homeowners. Overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts are common.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to read locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Comfort with lifting up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently.
• Search designated areas for underground utilities.
• Accurately mark utility locations.
• Complete required documentation and photograph each locate.
• Work independently in the field using a company-provided vehicle.
• Meet 48-hour turnaround times on many locates.
• Work daytime, full-time schedules, including days after holidays and some weekends as needed.
• Work overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts, including nights and weekends, based on business needs.
