Job summary

On The Mark Locators, Llc in Delaware is seeking an 811 Utility Locator to locate and mark underground utilities across Central Delaware and Southern Maryland. You will respond to locate requests, read maps, and work in the field using GPS, GIS data, and tablet ticket systems.

This role requires driving a company truck, outdoor work year-round, and precise markings to prevent outages. If you are detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and comfortable with physical tasks, apply to join our field

Qualifications

Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic computer and smartphone/tablet skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to read maps and directions.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk long distances.
Comfortable working outdoors year-round.

Responsibilities

Respond to 811 locate requests within required state deadlines.
Locate and mark Electric, Gas, Communications/Fiber, Water, Sewer, CATV utilities.
Read and interpret maps, prints, and GIS data.
Drive the company truck and operate in the field daily.
Complete ticket documentation and upload photos/notes.
Maintain safety and compliance with Delaware and Maryland 811 regulations.
