Jefferson County, Colorado is seeking a Traffic Signal Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and improvements on the County’s traffic signal system, school flashers, flashing beacons, and other devices. The role is office-based and field-heavy, with a four-day work week schedule (Mon-Thu, 7:00am–5:30pm).

You will handle preventative maintenance, inspections, data collection, and equipment installations, ensuring safe and efficient traffic operations across the county.

Qualifikationen

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years work-related experience
• Certifications/Licenses: Valid Colorado Driver’s License & IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level I Certification

Aufgaben

• Responds to calls related to traffic signals and traffic control devices; troubleshoot, adjust, and repair to restore operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance including inspection, testing, and conflict monitor testing; create reports of issues and actions.
• Install and configure equipment including controllers, signal heads, lamps, push buttons, wiring, cabinets, and related devices.
• Locate underground facilities for traffic signal wiring per 811 Colorado Procedures.
• Maintain logs and inventories of equipment and respond to inspections by contractors.
• Assist with traffic data collection by installing/removing field equipment such as cameras and radar devices.
