Job summary

SONIFI is seeking a Field Telecommunications Technician to support customers in the Northern California region. You will be the face of the company, traveling to client sites, and providing timely technical support with the tools supplied by SONIFI.

Candidates should have a technical degree plus at least one year of related experience or a HS diploma with three years of work experience. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Responsibilities

• Support customers in assigned region and act as the face of SONIFI.
• Travel within region and occasional travel outside area; provide on-call and overtime support.

We are looking for a Field Telecommunications Technician in the Northern CA area who has a strong desire to resolve technical issues, is flexible, learns quickly, and can work independently while providing support and guidance to our customer base on SONIFI products. No desk here! Your day will be spent supporting our customers in your region. We will supply you with the tools needed for success: a company vehicle, tools, cell phone, laptop, and technical support.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE & COMMUNICATION: As the face for our organization, we are looking for someone who is passionate about the customer and strives to provide a great customer experience. We need someone who can communicate thoughtfully and professionally with the staff at our hospitality customers; and understand and respect the boundaries, protocols, and empathy needed in our healthcare customer environments.

EDUCATION & TECHNICAL EXPERTISE: In addition to your passion for solving problems, a technical degree plus ONE year of related experience in any of the following areas -OR- High School Diploma or GED plus THREE years’ work experience. Looking for experience in any of the following areas: High-Speed Internet and WIFI, Satellite TV, Digital TV, IPTV, Telecom, RF, CATV, MATV, and Head-end.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: To drive a company vehicle, you will need a valid driver’s license and safe driving habits. And while you work in your assigned region where you live, there is occasional travel outside of your area; as well as on-call and occasional overtime and weekend work to accommodate service level agreements. Our customers have changing priorities and requests, so we need for you to flexible and adapt to these changes.

Generally starting at $30 - $40 per hour. The pay of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, experience, education, specialty, and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
