SubSea Craft is seeking a Field Technician (Systems Integration Engineer) to ensure vessels and mission systems are safe, reliable, and ready for demanding customer operations. You will own system-level integration of hardware, electronics, software, sensors, communications, navigation, control and power systems across multiple platforms.
You will lead and support integration, commissioning, testing, fault finding, and documentation, coordinating across mechanical, electrical, and software teams
SubSea Craft, is a fast-growing, privately funded, UK-founded innovative maritime technology company specialising in next-generation, high-performance watercraft and systems. As we expand internationally, we are establishing a presence in the United States and are seeking US-based talent to support this growth. Operating at the intersection of advanced engineering, cutting-edge design, and user-centric innovation, we deliver safe, effective, and enabling solutions for both commercial and defense applications.
The Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for ensuring our physical vessels and integrated mission systems are safe, reliable, operationally ready, and performing as intended across demanding customer-facing opportunities. The role owns the integration and system-level performance of vessel hardware, electronics, software, sensors, communications, navigation, control systems, power and energy systems, payloads, and associated mission equipment, ensuring that individual components and subsystems operate seamlessly as a complete platform.
Working as part of the Mission Success team, the role leads and supports system integration, commissioning, verification, and validation activities, including rigorous pre- and post-operation checks, functional testing, fault finding, configuration management, and preventative maintenance. The engineer applies intelligent, practical engineering judgement to diagnose complex cross-system issues, coordinates rapid resolution of integration failures, and ensures that interfaces between mechanical, electrical, software, and mission systems are clearly understood and robustly controlled.
The role also drives structured data capture and disciplined root-cause analysis, turning operational issues and emerging system behaviours into clear, actionable engineering lessons. Through close collaboration with engineering, operations, and customers, the Systems Integration Engineer helps identify failure modes early, improve system reliability, and continuously adapt and optimise the vessels and their integrated mission capabilities.
